Scheduled overhaul of the Continental IO-470 engine, by reason of the end of its service life, was provided. It was the engine from the Cessna 182 R aircraft.

The experts of the «Expert Motorz» company carried out a full range of works to restore the life of engine parts. The overhaul was carried out in accordance with the technological procedures of the Continental manufacturing plant.

Overhaul process included:

• Disassembly of the engine and crankcase
• Cleaning and inspection of engine parts
• Magnetic particle and penetrant inspections
• Entering data into flow sheet
• Repair / restoration of necessary parts in accordance with the manufacturing plant’s standards
• Assembly of the engine with the replacement of necessary parts.

The final stage of the overhaul is testing the engine on a test bench for 2 hours.

Further, the Continental O-200 engine was preserved and prepared (packed) for transportation. All the necessary documents have been drawn up and issued.

After an overhaul, the form is marked TSO — 00 (Time Since Overhaul — 00 hours).

Repair time: 2-3 months.
